Collision FAQ > Collision Questions > My car is leased, is it MY CHOICE to have it repaired where I want to ?
Yes! it’s your choice and it’s important, because you’re the one responsible for the condition of the vehicle at turn-in. If you don’t carefully select an auto body repair facility that will perform the highest quality repair, you may end up being charged for excess wear and tear at the end of your lease term because of substandard work that was done.
Just because your car is leased you are under no obligation to take it back to the dealership. You’re car is not leased from the dealership but from the manufacturer’s finance company or through a bank. Therefore, at turn-in, you’re responsible only to the financing institution for the condition of your vehicle, not to the dealer.
